i've got a wedding to go to coming up soon and my partner has informed me that she wants to dance. i think i can slow dance, that's no biggie, but dancing to something faster, like a pop song? i just can't see me doing it unless i get really really drunk and make an idiot of myself. and i don't want to do that.

and it got me thinking about how generally i just don't enjoy dancefloor dancing, it feels so forced and weird. i've been known to dance at gigs if it's really really awesome and i've had a drink, but that feels much more natural than a DJ playing an MP3 and everybody walking to the dancefloor to "enjoy it"

so yeah i'm dreading it.
