Do people actually still watch free-to-air TV?

robluvsnic [Edit] [Delete] 15:41, 8 September '11

(Asked this at the very end of a night thread when everyone had gone to bed. Thought I'd try again in the day.)

Nowadays the only thing I watch on FTA is one of two reality programs (which I could happily give up any time) and the odd football match. Everything else is DVD or download. And it's all various forms of serial drama or sitcom. Plus the odd movie.

I'm genuinely surprised when I hear of anyone between the ages of, say, 25-35 (or 40) who watches FTA. I can't tolerate it anymore, because I can't tolerate having to watch when the TV tells me to watch.

What about you? When, why and how do you watch FTA TV (if you do)?
