Student Associate Scheme (Teaching)

Donnie [Edit] [Delete] 20:12, 12 June '11

(For the uninitiated, it's a government scheme done through your university where they pay you £600 to do three weeks teaching)

Anyone done this? How did it go? I start my placement tomorrow, not really sure what to expect. I've emailed the teacher asking what the class are getting up to and she's given me their timetables but I'm not sure how much I'm expected to know/do. I'm quite nervous but I suppose I will have three weeks experience and some money at the end of it regardless.

Any advice? They're year six by the way, so I guess 10 or 11 year olds. My first lesson is, apparently, 'catching and throwing' - can't go too far wrong there at least.
