"disliking certain types of food" / "being invited to someone's for dinner" interface thread

colon_closed_bracket [Edit] [Delete] 15:17, 29 March '11

okay - so:

- when you invite someone round for dinner, do you make a habit of asking if there's anything they don't like / won't eat?
- if you go to someone's for dinner, will you tell them that you don't like something or will you hope that they ask you?
- if you're served something that you don't like, what's your coping strategy? Eating a bit and then saying you're full? Surreptitiously emptying the food into your manbag whilst they're not looking? Just being honest about it?

i'm talking mainly about food that you just plain dislike, rather than, for instance if you're vegetarian or have a nut allergy or some other moral / health reason.
