Inspired by a post in the East London thread ...

I don't mean go outside, as I'm sure even the most reticent of us ventures out of their front door to scavenge for supplies from time to time. I mean go out-out ... To a pub, or a club. Perhaps even some other variety of establishment.

After a few years of living where I do, I started making an effort to check out more places local to me and have realised there are actually some pretty decent pubs and such not all that far from me. I mostly end up getting dragged to the west end for all-round friend convenience, or to the place I grew up, though.

Is it like how you never visit tourist attractions in your home town?
