Walking into work today (Birmingham)- 8.30 in the morning, as I crossed the road I passed a guy sitting in his car who was playing Red Red Wine by UB40 so loudly, possibly even with the aid of a bass-bin. I'm leaving the city soon because of a change in jobs and for the first time ever I felt a weird fondness for all of those moments where you hear local legends UB40 in incongruous situations.

what little things do you love/miss about your home town/city?
