Shit, right?

This isn't me being a food snob and moaning about how you always get sub standard chicken in them and no fish dishes (though this is largely true), it's just that they're for stupid people.

1) They're a false economy. If I go to a pub in central London and order a huge burger then that's £8, job done. All you can eat buffets are at least that it seems nowadays and always full of all the shitty leftover dishes no one would normally order.

2) They're really filling. I can normally eat a fair amount but really, one very large plate of stuff is enough for anyone. Who needs a third and fourth helping?

3) There's a horrific new breed of them in Southend where they have EVERY type of food there under the sun. Indian, Thai, Japanese, British, Italian. All of it shit, all of it available for a mere £16 a head. These places are queuing out the door whilst really decent restaurants and bars are struggling to get people in.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO STUPID?!

There was one good lunchtime buffet near my old job admittedly. They did a reduced lunchtime curry menu for £6 and it was top drawer stuff. So I've probably ruined my own thread there...
