I liked last night's a lot better than the previous two but it's still a weird format. We know almost nothing about most of them so we don't care about them and we don't really get a good view of the food involved.

It's taken us 3 hours of TV to whittle down 130-odd people to 12 and most of them have only cooked two dishes! Last year it would have been something like 20 half-hour eps and a further 4 hour long ones and during that everyone left would have cooked two dishes plus a 3 course meal and done a pro-kitchen slot.
