F1 Pre-Season Thread

PocketMouse [Edit] [Delete] 10:23, 19 February '11

Kind of a lot of talking points now things are getting close.

1. Bahrain. Pretty obviously, and understandably, not going to happen. So another couple of weeks until the start date and another test scheduled.

2. Robert Kubica & Nick Heidfeld. I think they're kind of destined for each other. Really horrible news for Kubica, but I hope this is the chance for Nick to get his first win. There will always be some 'it should be Kubica's' if it happens, but I don't care about them, so whatever.

3. Testing. Pretty difficult to draw any kind of conclusions from it at the moment, but the order doesn't look to have changed radically.

MotoGP subsection:

Marc Marquez turned 18 on Thursday. Awwww! He's almost like a real person now :-)

Marquez & Redding looking particularly strong in Moto2 - I'd be delighted for either of them if things went their way, but naturally I'm getting excited at the prospect of Marc winning the championship in his rookie year - doesn't seem unrealistic.

There's probably stuff happening in MotoGP too, but they're not all tiny and young and adorable, so, *shrug*
