This is what a friend of mine has said about her predicted failure of the hero version of Grindr. I don't think I completely agree, but there might be something in it about regular people being less likely to run off and save a kitten from a burning building midbang, and, by turns, their desire to battle inequity in the world.

Also: grindr. sex! sex with other people, enabled by use of a little map on a mobile phone. the future, everyone! future sex!
