So I've had glasses for just over a year now and I don't especially like them still, so thinking about jumping to contact lenses as I think I now can after a year.

Been talking to members of the witches' coven about them today: there's a bewildering array. Ones with gas, hard ones, soft ones, dailies, monthlies. Hard ones dry your eyes out, soft ones are too big sometimes - etc. ARGH.

Help please? Experiences?

What I do not want: when you look someone in the eye and see the outline of contact lenses a few mm around the Iris. It freaks me out.

I'd also like the lowest maintenance thing possible, but realise that's a have cake eat cake situation probably.
