Gotta admit, I'm not yet seeing the point of "checking in" on my mobile phone, as it sort of feels like some kind of lame attempt at digital infamy and I have no interest in winning badges. I sort of see the point of the special discounts or if you're out on the town and want to change plans and see where people are but that relies on them checking in. And, yeah, just the words checking in seem a bit lame.

However, I've seen a few people using Foursquare to make specialist guides to their city and I thought it might not be a rubbish idea to do a DiS account with stuff DiS peoples like. Only made a quick start to it last night and will slowly build up a world map of places of interest, especially to independent music fans. Places that are relevant to lyrics or just bars that are good to goto before gigs.

Anyway, I imagine this will get a worse reaction that when DiS joined Twitter ("what a waste of time, that'll never get big!!!!") but was wondering if there is anywhere you think should be on there?

Maybe I could spend a day adding DiSsers London tips?
