I'm off for a drink with a girl after work today. It will only be a short one because she's going out afterwards (I'm taking it as a good sign that she still wants to squeeze me in - so to speak). I don't know her very well and I'm always a bit nervous about this kind of thing, but hopefully it will be quite a casual getting-to-know-you kind of thing.

Anyway, I know DiS loves this sort of thing, so what are the DOs and DO NOT DOs of first dates in your experience?
