Was flicking through that 1001 video games book and was reminded of Animal Crossing, spent ages playing this on GC but never really bothered with the Wii version.

I'd quite like to giving it another go but it's a pretty high maintenance game and gets fairly depressing when you take a break and come back to an overgrown wilderness and all the other animals have buggered off. And Tom Nook pisses me right off.

Did anyone else get massively addicted to this (especially the fishing) and what's the longest people have kept their village going before getting bored of it? Is it worth having another stab with the Wii version?
