i borrowed a coat from a friend about a year ago and didn't see him till now. i like this coat a lot, but i want to give it back to him now we're back in the same town - thing is he wants me to keep it for just a pint next time we're out.

is this being very nice? or is he harbouring secret resentment and REALLY wants me to return the coat?
