I have a feeling this one might get quite a few replies.

So, Internet Dating; anyone tried it? Meet anyone nice, or someone crap? Any wacky tales to tell? BANTER?

I got dumped after a two year relationship around a month ago and have been (kinda) happily single. However a friend recommended me to try internet dating to meet someone new, so i signed up to a site. The first recommendation seemed to have similar interests to me, and so i messaged her.

Now i'm taking her for dinner on Saturday and then to see Sadpunk/Thesoundofbastards band on Saturday. This Saturday. I'm not sure if it will lead to anything but I was surprised by both;
a) how many people on the site there were who had similar interests/locality to me and how interesting/pretty they were.
b) how quickly i was able to find someone i probably would have introduced myself to irl and wanted to see again.

I expect 100 replies by the end of today.
