students - food or booze???

A report on student spending says £3.5bn would go on rent. Another £1bn is expected to go on supermarket food shopping, £722m on going out, £342m on books and course materials, and £198m on music and CDs.
I spent £3k on rent last year.
That would mean that I shoulda spent under £1k on food (£20/wk) from Saino's. That's about right. Maybe.
But going out?? £600?? Less than £50 a MONTH? EH? 25 JD & Cokes a MONTH. REALLY?!??! 1 a day!!!! 1!!! Easily spent 5x that. I dare not calculate it completely.
Hahaha. No. This survey is fatally flawed. They underestimate the true drinking power.
