Well it came up in Bamos' alread-legendary TOTP thread so I thought it deserved a lesser thread of its own.
Obviously its worst crime was using the same Top 10 method as Capital Radio et. al., i.e. one that used airplay and sales to make sure that no decent track really had a hope of being no. 1. as it wouldn't receive much airplay. Okay enough bitterness...
Still I remember I used to watch this more than TOTP as the early Saturday Morning timeslot suited my viewing habits more. My biggest memory is the period when Nothing Compares 2 U and Dub Be Good To Me were both riding high in the charts.
Oh and I remember the first time I saw 'Addicted to Love' in the video vault. I'd seen it before but I'd been pre-pubescent. It was quite amusing to realise how utterly utterly dirty it really was!
