It's my cousin's 18th birthday party on Saturday, and it's quite possibly gonna be the most hellish thing since... hell itself. Like a 'My Super Sweet Sixteen' affair, but more rubbish and in Scotland.

Anyway, I'm going to it, and it seems an occasion ripe for catastrophe. My (secretly pregnant) older sister will be there, who my mum hasn't spoken to for two years now. My pompous, bigoted uncle will be there and probably make a whole slew of 'gay' jokes about me, and wow everyone present with his Catherine Tate and Little Britain impressions. My autistic cousin (the birthday girl's brother) will probably do something autistic, and all the while the birthday girl her self will be running about like a reet spoilt little nitwit. So, you get the picture.

My question is: do I

(a) get drunk and actively involved in the catastrophe, perhaps encourage it just for entertainment's sake.

(b) get drunk and grit my teeth through the whole affair.

or (c) an option I've not yet thought of.
