when you go to cities in Spain and Greece, there are hundreds of them everywhere, it's very cute but sad. They all look like moggies, so I presume they're just bred from people's pet ones.

Why doesn't this happen in Britain? Are we good at neutering? Did there used to be loads but there was a cull or something?
