my job this week is walking around Tooting telling people that they can get the fire brigade to provide and install smoke alarms for free.

some people dont want them. the most interesting/fucking stupid reasons i've been given have been

3: "i dont want to mess up my interior design"
2: "i've lived here for 40 years, and there hasn't been a fire, so i don't think there will be one"
1: "i've lived a long life"
