Family and Eating Tea

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 18:12, 26 March '07

I find I have to hold myself back when someone's made a meal I haven't enjoyed at home.

I'm not a massive fan of these vegetable filled English casserole dishes. I find them really dull, so when I get myself a portion, I get a little bit so I can have something else after.

And everyone gets angry at me.

'Why don't you like it?'
'I dunno, its just not something I enjoy.'
'There's nothing wrong with it. Its lovely.'
'Yeah I'm not saying you're wrong, and the meal is horrible or anything, its just not to my tastes, in the same way I don't like bright green clothes or dark chocolate.'
'You don't appreciate my cooking. I go to all this trouble, and you don't even try to eat any of it.'

ARG. Does anyone else's family do this?

Also, if my bird's round for a meal or something, my mum's like: 'Leave what you want, we don't mind here!'
