mistakes, discs that have got too old so they no longer play, demos from bands that I have MP3s of or will never play in any case...

Where can I dispose of them? Our bloody recycling people only take: paper, tin and glass so I can't stick them in the recycle unit and I don't really want to carry them miles...but that might be the only option.
