at tube stations that have elevators and not escalators, generally the stais have signs telling you that theyre for use in emergencies only

does anybody pay any heed to these? i walk whenever it looks like i'd need to wait for a lift. at least on the way down.

im just wondering if im going to get shouted at at some point, and if i should stop it?
