Quoting films and TV programmes

doctornovocalcords [Edit] [Delete] 16:45, 9 March '07

What films and TV programmes have quotes which have entered your everyday language or do you never "quote" anything? I think done in the wrong way it is incredibly tragic but clearly that wouldn't apply to the way I do it...

The main one for me is Alan Partridge, which seems to have a quote for every occasion should you require it.
Also Wayne's World, Spinal Tap, that Werther's Original advert where the grandad taps the boy's head and he goes "owwww", Dude Where's my Car. It sort of depends on the people you are with and obviously the situation.

And what are your views on this practice generally? Clearly there is nothing more annoying than a group of people sat around in the pub just endlessly quoting something shit like Little Britain, but I think most people (that I know) tend to quote something from time to time.
