[JDTcentric (?)] Getting dust of records

TheoGB [Edit] [Delete] 08:37, 3 March '07

I have a brush. That's the important thing. It has a velvet pad in the centre and carbon fibre bristles on either side of it.

According to the instructions I should rest it on the record lightly so the carbon fibre brushes pick up the dust, then press in with the velvet to pick up all the dust collected.

The thing is this doesn't seem to work and all I am left with is a visible line of dust along the vinyl. This also happened last night with a straight velvet pad.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a better way to get the dust out?
