So I did music with music technology at uni and forgot everything about music technology.

I have cubase (swashbuckled), a controller keyboard and a broken midi lead

I reckon I want an external sound card with midi whatchamacallits to get musics from the controller keyboard into the cubase...

also I think only 1, maybe 2 of my remaining usb ports work. If I got a usb hub and plugged the sound card into that, would it gash the whole system and make it rubbish?

and what soundcard should I buy?...I want to spend about a pound.
