Were you ever bullied at school? Do you think this has had an effect on your adult life (if you have reached that stage yet)?

I wasn't physically bullied but do remember being picked on by two girls who had their lockers above mine when I was in high school - I was about 14. You know, standover style tactics - that kind of 'girl girl' intimidation which I think is more frightening because it's psychological and god, girls can be very very cruel. Anyway. I ended up getting the last laugh. Years later, I became best friends with a girl whose older brother, Paul, I totally fancied... like, first proper love. Sigh. Anyway, he went out with one of these bullie girls but she felt very threatened of me because a), Paul and I got along extremely well (I think if I had been older, we would probably have gotten together and had babies - I saw him years later and this 'thing' was still there - I know he fancied me too)... and b), she knew I KNEW what a total utter awful cow she had been.. and yet I was able to sit there smug and smile and look straight at her while she looked away and felt guilt.

Anyway - I digress! But I want to know have you been bullied? Did you do anything about it? Do you know anyone who has been bullied where it has affected their life in such a traumatic way? Have you ever been THE BULLY? What do you think drives people to bully-dom?
