My mums PC seems to be very slow and gets pop ups, something called 'drivecleaner from cdn.drivecleaner.com which said all sorts of alarmist nonsense, 900 + plus naughty files

after a brief check to see if this product was legit I noticed that there were other product which said that 'drivecleaner was a bad thing and that its difficult to remove but that I can use 'Xoftspy' to remove it properly.....the thing is can I trust this Xoftspy?
