Seriously. I ended up playing charades with my friends in a corner of some place called 'Red Church' round the corner from Old Street on Friday night because the music was THAT CUNTING LOUD.

Why does EVERYWHERE that's open late fell the need to blast music out like conversation's just something for other people. Are most people out for the night vapid morons?

Are there nice quiet pubs? Aside from lock-ins I have never found such a place for late drinking action.
