of government subsidies. not for course related stuff, just i'm interested in subsidies that promote inefficiency and waste in areas that 'supposedly' governments are supposed to be changing (well, at least they raise the issue, tell us its a problem, pretend they are fixing it and keep us all happy). Such as world poverty, global warming. For instance did you know that the average cow in European union receives more per day from government subsidies than almost half of the worlds population.(that's $2 dollars)
Also, that government subsidies promote inefficiency and waste in industries that are polluting the planet the most and discourage innovation within these industries too.(such as coal and power stations)
Or does anyone want to add any thoughts and ridiculousness of some subsidies.
