Now, I've lived in or around London most of my life, here are some of the delighful highlights:-
- watching my mum and her friend getting mugged when i was nine; her friend got beaten to a pulp, all for the sake of a couple of shitty gold necklaces
- getting onto a bus in brixton and having a random stranger spit my
face
- neighbour in crystal palace kicked down the door at 6am totally off his face on drugs, put a gun to boyfriend's head because he was convinced bf had stolen 12k's worth of dole cheques (a petty criminal - who the fuck gets 12k in dole cheques?)
Walking down the street having just lit a cigarette at 9am in Oxford Circus and a well suited and booted stranger saying 'i fucking hope you die of cancer you bitch' i'd never seen the guy in my life.

These are just the few examples that spring to mind, but there are many others.

I like the accessibility of gig venues in London, being able to see friends who are scattered all over london - but certain gig venues make me feel really uncomfortable; camden for starters.

Maybe I'm just being an old cynical cowbag, but after years of this shit, i'm beginnging to wonder if it's worth the emotional strife to stay here.
