Like me. Don't move into a flat which just has just a shitty yale lock on the door and please please please get contents insurance. I've lost around 7k's worth of stuff and the chances of me being able to claim for them are slim to none. Contents insurance is probably £100-150 per year vs what i've now lost.

I'm not trying to preach but I was complacent/lulled into a false sense of security because of a stupid false sense of security in my block of flats which appeared to be pretty high calibre and secure, so didn't rush to get my act together with the insurance when i was bastard busy at work.

Thankfully - they didn't steal my
music. Tasteless bastards.

However, they did steal every single form of ID they could find along with my 'memories' bag; i've lost every single photograph i've ever owned, every gig ticket, my marriage certificates issued in barbados which i need to get a divorce, pretty much every sentimental thing i ever had. And I do blame myself for being stupid and naive, but, puuuuurlease, people read this and learn from my mistakes - because i'd hate to see anyone else go through this shit.
