Lunch with Rich: Lets discuss tolerance....

olegrich [Edit] [Delete] 12:05, 8 February '07

Hello, Rich here. And yes I know what you are all thinking, 'Why is that idiot taking over from Prole?'. Well, give me a chance. Todays subject isn't football, whales or even Rum. Todays subject is tolerance.

Now, I am very short tempered. I get annoyed very quickly and I am always accused of being in a foul mood. Todays mood was only made worse by the fact that there is at least 5 inches of snow covering Borehamwood. And, because I only live 10 minutes around the corner from my office, I was expected to be in work.

On my treacherous walk to work today, there was a gang of kids, whose average age must have been about 13. They were messing around in the snow, and generally being annoying. As I passed one of them, they threw a snowball at my head. I ignored it, because a)its to be expected in this weather, and b) he was at least 9 year younger than me.

As I continued on my way, his little gang followed me up the path and continued attacking me with snow balls. I doubt I have ever been as angry in my life. But, I carried on walking.

When I arrived at work, I couldn't decide whether or not i had done the right thing by letting them do that to me. So todays discussion is...

'How much should you be able to take from a group of teenagers before reacting in a potentially violent way?'

Thankyou.
