Lunch with Prole: why does snow/ice evoke childhood?

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 12:34, 7 February '07

Silly lwp, but the more romantic of us go all YAY when it snows, whereas some people just go "eeh that means t'roads' will be terrible for getting to us work appen".

Also, on the way to work today there were people valiantly scraping windscreens as well which made me suddenly think it was 1985 again and I'm hoping there's no school and that I can play in the back yard with a lump of ice or something. But really, doesn't snow and ice just make you feel like youre a child again - is it something to do with the confidence of childhood and feeling alive? I 'guess' its the same with summer, or am I just overtired and rambling aimlessly like a pensioner suddenly struck down by heart failure during a an unsually rigorous walk?
