Right, now I'm firmly opposed to animal research. I think its barbaric, and the results, in my eyes, haven't been strong enough to let it continue.

Now, testing drugs/cosmetics/other products on convicts (of serious crimes: rape, murder, paedophilia, terrorism)would be BETTER in three ways:

1. You can kill them once you've done the testing - empty the prisons.

2. Innocent animals won't be tortured.

3. The ecological validity of the research will be MASSIVELY increased.

I'm serious. Its a good idea. Sometimes, you've got to be cruel to be kind, and killers, rapists, kiddie fiddlers and terrorists will be able to put their bit in, in two ways - freeing up prison space AND helping further medical and scientific research much faster.
