Goodbye N16

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 09:20, 5 February '07

I'm leaving my favourite part of London after 5 and a half years tomorrow - I'm only moving 'up the road' to East 17 but I feel that a big part of my daft vainglorious bumbling London adventure is coming to the moment that I'd look into the camera and say "The past is a foreign country - and Lovejoy doesn't live there anymore", or something. I really will miss the whole area which is basically scag ends of Islington and the borders of Dalston and Newington Green. Seems also funny that in the last 2 years I 'discovered' loads of other Disers lived round there, the highlight being undisputed champions of the quiznight at the Prince. Unbeatable. Until we were beaten, that is.

Such a wondefully shabby genteel place, that 'I guess' by 2012 will either be the new Upper Street or be an overspill of Old Street- shall we take bets?

Its not like I'm moving very far away (1.5 miles to be exact) but occasions like these do elicit moments of reflection, especially if your so self obsessed as me.
