Why?

5 Brit Nominations? So what if she has a myspace blog - don't people actually realise that every single person in the world, including serial killers and former Darts world champions have myspace blogs? So, take away that novelty factor and we have some anaemic white reggae and some 'street' lyrics. Ok, what award does that cover? Come on, I can't see the talent - is she the female Jamie T? DOn't tell me he went to Millfield also!?

Someone please seriously tell me her appeal as I am really really curious as to why. There must be so many talented teenagers out there doing something far more interesting that doesn't involve 15th hand sub-London observations over the bassline from Uptown Top Ranking. What a waste! I also noted sadly in some paper (the guardian I think) a speical on 'the five new Lillys' and it was 5 carbon copy silly quirkey posh girls pretending to be urban with myspace blogs. Oh come on, is that all there is to female teenagers wanting to make music now???
