Uninspiring, unenjoyable, underwhelming, disillusionary and depressing, especially with the general consensus being that if you're not having a good time it's your fault.

i anticipate with melancholy fervour the hope that this won't actually be "the best time of my life" and that doing a degrading job for little and belittling pay may in a roundabout way make me more happy.
