I just realised why accountants get paid so much - attempting to fill in my tax return has sucked the will to live out of me.

Just wanted to complain.

I'm tempted to lie, not to save money, but just to save me from having to read endless bureaucratic nonsense about dual residency, double taxation treaties, foreign tax relief credits and so on.

Anyone else worked abroad and submitted a tax return in the UK for it?
