In my office, I am on the third floor, so I get the lift up there every day (I am lazy, alright?). Whenever I arrive in the morning, there is inevitably someone waiting for the lift as well. However, I always listen to my I-pod up until the last possible moment, which includes using the lift.

Is it rude for me to stand there and listen to music in the lift whilst someone else is there? Advice would be helpful, as I got a rather dirty look off a lady in the lift today.
