Someone jumped my back fence, knocked over some shit, and tried to clearly break into my house... I was home when this happened the other night and heard a thud/things being knocked over (they knocked an outdoor mirror, broke part of the trestle/tressle fence and knocked over some candle thingies)... It's a very high fence (8ft plus) so they struggled to get back over it. I'm quite concerned that it might be a test run for xmas time when things are quieter...

Can I report this kind of incident to the police even tho nothing technically happened? I mean, I live in Shoreditch and have no doubt that some fucking junkie is scoping my house.

Not sure what to do?????? Advice? Can I report this even tho nothing has been stolen/house bot broken into?
