Advice - dessert

Rose-Kitten [Edit] [Delete] 13:04, 15 December '06

I am going to a fancy dinner party tonight and I offered to make dessert when I was at a gig, drunk the other night - it's a wicked recipe for sticky date pudding which is quite special.

Now - I cannot be bothered to do this today... out of sheer lazyness and the fact I will have to run around trying to buy stuff like measuring cups and all of these special ingredients. I'd also prefer to be preparing for an interview and also for my gig tomorrow.

If I don't make the dessert and instead, purchase a really nice dessert as an alternative (say from a nice patesserie like Patisserie Valerie, or Paul), is that like, rude of me? I've already had an email saying how much these people are looking forward to eating my dessert.
