Words that just seem to go out of your head

Or get mixed up.

Me: every time I want to say something is ubiquitous or eponymous, I invariably get confused and either forget which is which or mess up my words. I have no idea why, I know exactly what both words mean and have used them a lot in the past.

...

SEE! I've forgotten it! A word I have used a million times, that means an argument that moves from point to point in a coherent and logical fashion. Somes like methodical maybe. Like a methodical dialectic. This word just will just NOT stay in my grasp, and I don't know why.
