LwP: All rock and roll is asexual?

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 12:48, 13 November '06

Lazily inspired by the usual artery hardening self celebration of music by non-music fans toss-rag that is Observer Music Monthly 'GAY' special, and also recounting Richey Edwards slogan 'All Rock and Roll is Homosexual', I was thinking that perhaps so-called 'sexy' music from the last 200 years was more 'asexual', in as much that to be really progressive you cannot really assign such or ANY other prefixes to what is, in effect a rather sexless medium

I mean, does anyone define themselves REALLY in terms of sexuality with something so genderless as music? Isn't the actual power of this medium so inexplicable it makes such tagging completley erroneous?

This is a discussion point that's all.
