LwP: Adverts that like to make out the 'battle of the sexes'

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 13:38, 20 October '06

I watch telly. I don't pretend I sit around EVERY night reading 'On Liberty' by JS Mill whilst listening to Bizet and making sure everyone I know is aware of how cultural I am (like Marlow). So yes I see a lot of 'messages' in between ooh, My Hero and Dinnerladies, and I've noted rather dispassionately that a lot of adverts like to display how horrible and pointless most relationships can be

Foe example: ongoing BT adverts - Nicey is right about how tense they make you feel

MacDonalds - man more interesting in 'his' burger as his wife witters on and then gives a random answer in a 'that's nice dear' way

Zoo (Nuts?) - just not funny anymore, Guy Ritchie's mates.

Am sure there's more but I find it really really depressing that people in relationships are portrayed in such a cynical way. Is this the case then?

I've just had a yoghurt/pony/got my tickets.Yay!/Crunk
