if anyone could advise me about this, that would be great. a while ago my ipod wouldn't charge up properly. now it seems fine in relation to that, but i have another problem...
i think i somehow renamed the ipod, and since then it seems to have gone wrong. when i connect it, it doesn't recognise it, and says i should go to ipod preferences and restore it...however, as it doesn't recognise it, i can't do that, and i am then told by itunes that the ipod preferences file is corrupt and i need to run the chkdsk utility...i have no idea what that is...but it means i can't put songs on my ipod, and i wiped all the songs off it via the ipod itself in an attempt to remedy the situation...

help!
