strange contact

nice_squirrel [Edit] [Delete] 14:46, 9 September '06

sometimes, MySpace scares me. I just got a friend request from someone, and after a lot of deciphering, realised that it wasn't in fact, a stranger, but my first long-term boyfriend. Who I haven't spoken to in about 6 years. Mostly because he turned into a rather dull stoner, who uses phrases like 'peace out', 'raw', and 'phat beats' without irony. Hmmm.

What's particularly strange though, is the notion of the 'friend request'. Ok, so he's decided to track me down and make contact. But with no message? No, 'hi, I realise I haven't spoken to you in 6 years and we have little in common, but I remembered you and...' Why would people do this?

So, am I supposed to respond? Or just accept it and not actually say anything? Or shall I just carry on ignoring it? Damn MySpace.
