I think Scritti Politti will win it as most of the people on the board were probably fans of his post punk and ghastly 80s chocolate gloss soul - just a feeling - if not it will be the Artic Monkeys as the industry's revenge for not letting 5 fat northerners win last year (yes yes I know there are 4 in 'the' Monkeys and anyway they're a better band, regardless of who writes the songs.
