The Faculty sign a Publishing Deal

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 11:38, 4 September '06

whilst enjoying a friend's party on Saturday an old friend kept haranguing me about the timely demise of my generic white boy indie band with about -4 'Yay' factor, The Faculty. Although clearly 'disappointed' he kept saying that I should get a publishing deal as 'someone is bound to want to record one of your songs in the future, and if not someone might nick them and then you'll lose the rights to them'. It got me thinking for about 1 minute 13 seconds - do bands who fail - and let's face it there's probably more per week failing than people getting stung by stingrays - actually forget what happens to their music and then suddenly wake up to hear their songs on the radio, as some wiley (now now I didn't mean the manager of The Feeling who is Jo Wiley's husband) person has trawled the net to get ideas from songs by defunct bands only to pass them off as their own?
